With the 10 Greatest Days in Racing upon us, The Dirt Track at Charlotte is getting ready for its first event of the season, the Circle K NOS Energy Outlaw Showdown on Friday, May 24. A familiar face is making a comeback to the event with a new owner and a new team. Kasey Kahne Racing's (KKR) No. 9 Great Clips sprint car will be piloted by Daryn Pittman for the first time at the lightning-fast, four-tenths-mile clay oval.

Hungry fans can get the Behemoth Burger in the General Motors' Grand Stand near Gate 5A.

Fans will have a chance to pay homage to The King of Rock ‘n’ Roll at the Food Lion AutoFair, April 4-7, by participating in an official preliminary round of the Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist Contest sanctioned by Elvis Presley Enterprises.

Tickets are now on sale for the biggest event in dirt racing, the season-ending World of Outlaws World Finals at The Dirt Track at Charlotte. Fans that purchase a three-day ticket by Sept. 13 will get a free pit pass, providing behind-the-scenes views during the Nov. 7-9 event at the lightning-fast, four-tenths-mile clay oval.

Members of the Military Order of the Purple Heart Wounded Warriors Chapter 634 recently presented Charlotte Motor Speedway officials with a plaque commemorating the speedway’s designation as the nation’s first Purple Heart Speedway, in recognition of its long history of military tributes and outstanding commitment to honoring veterans.
