Bigfoot Wins Elimination Challenge; Hooked Wins Freestyle at Circle K Back-to-School Monster Truck Bash
The massive monster trucks of the 15th annual Circle K Back-to-School Monster Truck Bash put on a thrilling show for a huge crowd Saturday night. Bigfoot and driver Dan Runte were victorious in the elimination challenge, while Steven Sims and Hooked destroyed his truck and wowed the crowd in the freestyle competition.
The slick track from the rain earlier in the day proved to be a challenge for the trucks, but Bigfoot reigned supreme, beating out all comers to take the victory.
In the freestyle competition, Hooked wowed the crowed with his jumps and tricks. Driver Steven Sims put on a show for the crowd and ended with a wreck that snapped his left rear tire off the axle. The driver beat out last year's winner Avenger, as well as other famed competitors such as Bigfoot, Equalizer and Stone Crusher.
The Circle K Back-to-School Monster Truck Bash kicked off with a Pre-Race Pit Party. Fans were able to get up-close and personal with the monster trucks and their drivers. Fans were able to take a ride in Mighty Monster, the ride truck. But the excitement didn't stop there for fans when fire-breathing robot dinosaur Megasaurus took to the track and made a meal of a junk car.
