PINKS All Out from zMAX Dragway to Air Aug. 6
Two new cast members - six-time IHRA Top Fuel champion Clay Millican and Denver morning radio personality Steve Meade (aka 'Willie B') - and some first-ever historical moments will highlight a new season of SPEED™ grassroots drag racing lifestyle show, PINKS All Out, presented by NAPA. Starting Thursday, July 16, 10 premiere episodes will start at 8 p.m. ET.
On Thursday, Aug. 6, history will be made from zMAX Dragway, the Bellagio of dragstrips, when the first-ever, nationally televised four-wide drag racing competition makes its debut at 8 p.m. ET. In that show, the audience will also be treated to some "never-before-seen" overhead shots from the "FlyCam," a high-wire camera that spanned the length of the quarter mile - clocked at 107 mph at times - capturing the action as it followed racers down the track.
"This stuff defines the word 'cool,'" said Robert Ecker, SPEED VP of Programming and PINKS All Out Executive Producer. "The combination of the four-lane racing, the sold-out crowd of 30,000 screaming fans and the amazing vantage point provided by the 'FlyCam' is absolutely thrilling. It's a major goose bump moment."
A new season of PINKS All Outtakes is also on tap. This year's Outtakes include how the PAO production team, Pullin Television, prepared to shoot four-wide drag racing at zMAX Dragway @ Concord. That episode of PINKS All Outtakes will debut Wednesday, Aug. 12 at 8:30 p.m. ET.
PINKS All Out, called the 'Woodstock of Drag Racing,' by Summit Motorsports Park President Bill Bader, Jr., is an entire day's worth of on track racing and off-track activities, culminating at dusk in the running of the final 16. As part of the midway, which will feature many interactive track displays, the SPEED Mobile Theatre will be on hand providing air-conditioned entertainment and autograph sessions, while on-track fun often includes jet cars, wheel standers, a wheelie competition and a variety of professional and amateur drag racing equipment.
