This Saturday, driver Randy Moore and his Aaron’s Rent to Own monster truck will attempt to be the first monster truck to break the 100 mph barrier at zMAX Dragway during the second round of NOS Energy Test-N-Tune.

Moore, the owner of War Wizard Racing in Bristol, Tenn., has more than 30 years experience in drag racing, competing in NHRA and IHRA events nationally. Fans can watch as Moore and his monster truck make three attempts to surpass the 100 mph mark on Saturday at 11 a.m., 12 p.m. and 1 p.m.

The Aaron’s Rent to Own machine, the sister truck to Monster Jam icon War Wizard, currently holds the world speed record for a monster truck with a speed of 93 mph, which was set a Bristol Dragway in October of 2011. The truck is 10 feet tall and 12 feet wide and tips the scale at 8500 pounds.

zMAX Dragway’s NOS Energy Test-N-Tune is a “run what you brung” event where participants can dial-in their personal rides from dragsters, souped-up street bikes, classic cars, luxury cars and soccer-mom vans.

Gates and registration open Saturday at 9 a.m. for the NOS Energy Test-N-Tune, with racing action from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission for spectators is just $5 for adults and free for kids 13 and under.
