The Charlotte Chapter of Speedway Children's Charities is providing sports fans with the chance to bid on a pair of tickets to Super Bowl XLVIII on Sunday, Feb. 2, at the Meadowlands, just outside New York City.

Fans can visit the Speedway Children's Charities website at http://charlotte.speedwaycharities.org/ and place their bid on a pair of tickets to the game between the Seahawks and the Broncos, that were donated by a corporate sponsor. The seats are located in the 100 level, section 116, row 20. The tickets are valued at $1,500 per seat. Bidding starts at $5,000.

"We are so grateful to have received the donation of these two amazing seats," said Lisa Starnes, director of the Charlotte Chapter of Speedway Children's Charities. "Some online sites are already selling seats in this section for more than $7,000 each. This is a great opportunity for a fan to enjoy the big game and support such a worthy cause."

The individual with the highest bid of more than $5,000 when the auction closes at noon on Monday, Jan. 27, will win, and proceeds from the auction will support the Charities' mission of supporting children in need through Charlotte-area nonprofit organizations.
