While the racing will be spectacular at the Dollar General NHRA Four-Wide Nationals, there will be plenty to entertain drag racing fans off the track, including a pancake breakfast with the stars of the sport, a track walk and the opportunity to save some cash.
 
Hot Rods and Hot Cakes to Benefit SCC and B.R.A.K.E.S.
The Hot Rods and Hot Cakes breakfast, held on Saturday of the Dollar General NHRA Four-Wide Nationals in the zMAX Dragway pavilion from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m., will give fans the opportunity to eat breakfast alongside NHRA's most notable team owners and drivers. Tickets for the Hot Rods and Hot Cakes breakfast may be purchased in advance for $10 or the day of the event for $15. Proceeds will help SCC continue to support local children in need as well as help B.R.A.K.E.S. to teach teens the importance of safe driving. Tickets will also be on sale on Friday in the midway at the Dollar General NHRA Four-Wide Nationals.
 
NHRA Stars and Families to Lead Track Walk
Several stars of the NHRA and their families will join fans on Sunday morning, April 21, to walk the Bellagio of drag strips just hours before they make history on the same strip of concrete during eliminations at the Dollar General NHRA Four-Wide Nationals. The track walk will begin at 10:30 a.m. and is free to all Sunday ticket holders.
 
Sunday Cruise-In to Display Cool Rides and Hot Rods
It's the ultimate cruise-in for the "Nitroholic" automotive enthusiast. Local car clubs will hold a cruise-in and display their cars at the main entrance to zMAX Dragway on Sunday of the Dollar General NHRA Four-Wide Nationals.
 
Fans Eat Cheap with $1 Menu at Select Concession Stands
Fans can enjoy special value-menu items for $1 at Levy Restaurants concession stands before 11 a.m. each day, including a hot dog, popcorn, fries and a sweet tea.
 
Early Renewal for More Power
Fans who renew for the 2014 Dollar General NHRA Four-Wide Nationals with a $10 down payment per seat will receive a choice of power tool. Fans need only visit any ticket booth on race day for information and to renew or call the Charlotte Motor Speedway ticket office at 1-800-455-FANS.
 
Gates open at 7:30 a.m. on Friday and 8 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday. Mello Yello Drag Racing Series qualifying sessions are scheduled for 2:30 and 4:45 p.m. on Friday and 12:15 and 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. Final eliminations are scheduled to begin at noon on Sunday.
 
Tickets start at $25 for Friday. Children 13 and under are admitted for free every day of the Dollar General NHRA Four-Wide Nationals. Every ticket is a pit pass, allowing fans to observe and interact with their favorite drivers and teams, as well as check out Nitro Alley and a midway featuring displays, vendors and a kids’ play area.
