Hired in 1975 by track owner Bruton Smith, Wheeler has utilized his innovative style of entertainment promotion and extensive motorsports background to transform the 1.5-mile superspeedway into one of the world's leading sports facilities.
Under Smith's guidance and Wheeler's management, Charlotte Motor Speedway was the first to present spectacular pre-race shows and pioneered many of the spectator and competitor amenities that are now commonplace in the industry.
The "Humpy" bobblehead is five inches tall and features Wheeler standing on a base that includes Charlotte Motor Speedway's familiar red, white and blue globe logo.
The bobblehead give-away starts when spectator gates open at 2 p.m. and continues while supplies last.
