Chase Drivers Bowyer, Busch and Burton Headline SpeedZone
NASCAR Chase for the Sprint Cup contenders Clint Bowyer, Kyle Busch and Jeff Burton headline the roster of drivers scheduled to appear in the SpeedZone Pavilion prior to the Bank of America 500 at Charlotte Motor Speedway.
Located in the front Hospitality Village across from Gate 6, the SpeedZone Pavilion is a hospitality area featuring driver appearances, catered meals, cash bar, pre-race pit tours, free goody bags and musical entertainment. SpeedZone will open in conjunction with the spectator gates at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 11.
Bowyer, Busch and Burton, along with NASCAR Sprint Cup drivers Michael McDowell and Marcos Ambrose, will participate in a question-and-answer session with fans prior to the Oct. 11 Bank of America 500.
"Since everyone can't get to the garage, SpeedZone is designed to bring the drivers to the fans," said Marcus Smith, president and general manager of Charlotte Motor Speedway.
"This lineup is outstanding. It's a rare chance for fans to hear from drivers in the playoffs like Bowyer, Busch and Burton about what's going through their minds before the Bank of America 500."
SpeedZone admission is $129 per person and passes must be purchased by Monday, Oct. 6 at 9 p.m. Race tickets must be purchased separately.
SpeedZone passes can be obtained by calling the speedway ticket office at 1-800-455-FANS.
Fans can upgrade their SpeedZone hospitality pass for $100 and receive the driver intros/concert pass. The pass allows them VIP access to go on the track to the Start/Finish Line for a pre-race concert featuring Epic/Columbia Nashville recording artist, Jessica Simpson. Simpson, whose debut country album hit No. 1 on Billboard's Top Country Albums chart earlier this month, will perform a 40-minute concert before NASCAR Sprint Cup Series driver introductions for the Bank of America 500.
Tickets for the Oct. 11 Bank of America 500, round five of the 10-race Chase for the Sprint Cup, start at just $29 and can be purchased by calling the speedway ticket office or online.
