Diligent in the pursuit of lowering the cost for fans to attend a NASCAR race, officials at Charlotte Motor Speedway provided relief at the concession stands on Wednesday by announcing a new 99-Cents Value Menu that will debut in May during the NASCAR Sprint All-Star Race weekend.

Through a partnership with Levy Restaurants, five concession stands throughout the speedway's concourse will carry the specially priced menu, which consists of a hot dog, hamburger slider, uncrustable peanut butter and jelly sandwich, potato chips and popcorn. In addition, the menu will include two special offers of 12 hot dogs for $10 and 10 hamburgers for $8.

"This kind of savings at the concession stand with so many choices is unprecedented at present-day NASCAR tracks," said Marcus Smith, president and general manager of Charlotte Motor Speedway.

"Together with our food partner Levy Restaurants, we've developed a great menu with five popular items priced under $1. This is just another way we can help our fans save money while attending a NASCAR race at Charlotte Motor Speedway."

This effort is the latest way that Charlotte Motor Speedway has worked with business partners to reduce the overall cost of attending a NASCAR race. Earlier this year, speedway officials worked with regional visitor's bureaus and area hotels to reduce room rates and waive the minimum stay requirements at more than 90 hotels within a one hour radius of the speedway.

In addition to these cost-saving measures, Charlotte Motor Speedway will offer a $20 souvenir combo that includes a t-shirt and hat, which normally retails for $48, and the popular Coca-Cola 600 Family Four-Pack returns offering fans four tickets, four hot dogs and four Coca-Cola products for only $39.75 per person.

The 99-Cents Value Menu is just one of the many food items that Levy Restaurants will be providing at Charlotte Motor Speedway in May. Also making their NASCAR debut at the Sprint All-Star Race are Levy's "State Fair"

creations including the deep fried grilled cheese sandwich with tomato dipping sauce, golden fried honey bun topped with powdered sugar and the deep fried peanut butter and jelly sandwich.

Charlotte Motor Speedway is the home of NASCAR's biggest back-to-back weekends next month with the 25th running of the NASCAR Sprint All-Star Race and 50th Coca-Cola 600. Ticket packages and payment plan options for both events are available through the Charlotte Motor Speedway ticket office by calling 1-800-455-FANS or online.
