Offering relief from a tough economy, Lowe¿s Motor Speedway officials announced a new, 10-percent down payment plan that allows race fans to reserve May race tickets for as low as $2.50.

The ¿America, You Deserve a Break¿ program allows race fans to reserve seats to any May race, including The Winston on May 17 and the Coca-Cola 600 NASCAR Winston Cup event on May 25, for just 10-percent down. The balance is not due until May 7.

The program is also good for preliminary events such as the Hardee¿s 200 NASCAR Craftsman Truck race on May 16; CTC Pole Night on May 22 and the May 24 CARQUEST Auto Parts 300 NASCAR Busch Series race.

In addition, Lowe¿s Motor Speedway is offering free parking in all unreserved parking lots owned by the track. In the past, unreserved parking was $5 per event day.

¿We know the current economy is tough,¿ said Doug Stafford, executive vice president for the speedway. ¿This allows fans the opportunity to reserve a great seat to any of our May races now and pay for them later. We have tickets priced to accommodate various budgets, and now a payment plan that works with their cash flow needs.¿

Tickets to all May events are available by calling the speedway ticket office at 1-800-455-FANS or online at Race fans may use credit cards, including VISA¿the preferred credit card of Lowe¿s Motor Speedway, to reserve their seats.
