Colezilla Mini-Monster Truck at Aug. 16 Event
¿The little truck isn¿t very practical, but it is functional and the kids go crazy when they see it,¿ said Craddoc¿s father John, who built Colezilla. ¿The truck is very unique and the fact that an 8-year-old drives it leaves people shaking their heads.¿
Colezilla features a cut-down 1989 Chevrolet Blazer body on a custom-built chassis. It rides on four sprint car tires and is powered by an eight-horsepower Tecumseh engine.
Featuring nearly 1,992 more horsepower than Colezilla, eight of the world¿s top Monster Trucks including Bigfoot, Samson, Raminator and Rammunition will compete in one-on-one elimination races over a wild obstacle course and then battle in a radical freestyle competition. The Hostess Twinkies Back-to-School Monster Truck Bash will also feature demonstrations by two of the world¿s most unique jet-powered vehicles¿an ATV and a school bus.
One-on-One Spectator Races where fans race their personal cars in a series of single-elimination runs on the four-tenths mile clay oval and Thunder Roadster races are also on the card.
Activities begin with the Hostess Twinkies Pit Party from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Fans can meet the legendary Monster Truck drivers, get autographs, ride in a Monster Truck and have their pictures taken alongside the massive creations. To gain entry into the Pit Party, fans must present a proof of purchase from a Hostess Twinkies multi-pack.
If purchased in advance, reserved seats for the Hostess Twinkies Back-to-School Monster Truck Bash are just $18 for adults and $8 for children 12 and under. All seats are $5 more the day of the event while parking for all events at The Dirt Track is free.
