Generating 21 times more horsepower than a NASCAR Winston Cup stock car, School Time, the jet-powered school bus, will literally turn up the heat during the Hostess Twinkies Back-to-School Monster Truck Bash Saturday night, Aug. 16, at The Dirt Track @ Lowe¿s Motor Speedway.

School Time, owned and driven by Paul Stender of Big Bend, Wis., is powered by a J-34 Westinghouse jet engine, pumping out 17,000 horsepower with 6,000 pounds of thrust. The bus is equipped with flashing lights, folding stop signs and strobe lights.

In a spectacular blaze of fire, Stender will use School Time¿s afterburner to literally turn a full-size school bus into a pile of molten metal.

In addition, Kamikaze, Stender¿s car-burning, jet-powered All-Terrain Vehicle, will also perform.

Eight of the world¿s top Monster Trucks, including Bigfoot, Samson, Raminator and Rammunition, headline the fourth annual Hostess Twinkies Back-to-School Monster Truck Bash.

Activities begin with a pre-race pit party from 5 to 6:30 p.m. where fans can meet the Monster Truck drivers, get autographs, have their pictures taken alongside the massive creations and ride in a Monster Truck. Fans must present a proof of purchase from a Hostess Twinkies Multi-Pack for admission to the pit party.

If purchased in advance, reserved seats for the Hostess Twinkies Back-to-School Monster Truck Bash are just $18 for adults and $8 for children 12 and under. All seats are $5 more the day of the event while parking for all events at The Dirt Track is free.
