Jay Adamczyk, owner and webmaster of Jayski¿s Silly Season Site, has been named grand marshal for the May 27 Quaker Steak & Lube 100 ARCA RE/MAX Series race at Lowe¿s Motor Speedway.

Started by Adamczyk on a whim, the site has grown into a full-time business. It features NASCAR news, rumors, statistics and paint scheme images. Adamczyk pools information from sources inside the industry and the World Wide Web, making it easy for NASCAR fans to find mainstream and obscure information about the sport.

Located at www.jayski.com, the web site was launched on Aug. 26, 1996, and today attracts 100,000 daily visitors with 250,000 daily page views.

Adamczyk became interested in racing more than 30 years ago when his father took him to events at Pennsylvania¿s Pocono Raceway. A former FAA computer programmer, Adamczyk relocated from his native New Jersey to Mooresville, N.C., earlier this year.

It was also announced that Quaker Steak & Lube co-founder Gary Meszaros and Tim Weaver, co-owner of the new Quaker Steak & Lube restaurant in Concord, N.C., will serve as the honorary starters for the event.

The Quaker Steak & Lube 100 on Thursday night, May 27, is part of CTC Pole Night which also includes NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series qualifying for the Coca-Cola 600. Tickets start at just $12 and can be obtained online at www.charlottemotorspeedway.com or by calling 1-800-455-FANS.
