Food Lion AutoFair: April 6-9
Food Lion AutoFair is the nation's largest automotive extravaganza. Attracting over 160,000 visitors, the four-day event includes a car show featuring various makes and models from some 50 clubs; more than 10,000 vendor spaces that offer a plethora of automotive parts and memorabilia; and a collector car auction conducted by Tom Mack. A car corral, which completely circles the 1.5-mile superspeedway, features nearly 1,500 vehicles of all makes and models that are available for sale or trade.
The Food Lion Pavilion will feature several unusual vehicles, including an array of cars with land, sea and air capabilities. An amazing flying car built from a Honda Panoz Esperantie sports car for Discovery Channel's "Monster Garage" television show will be on display and storm chaser Steve Green will be on hand to explain his radical Tornado Attack truck-a combination stock car, four-wheel-drive SUV and armored car designed to safely penetrate a twister. A 100th Anniversary of the Turbocharger exhibit will showcase 10 decades of blown production cars and a collection of unusual automobiles, including a British-built Morgan three-wheeler, will be on loan from the Lane Motor Museum in Nashville.
The Food Lion AutoFair takes place April 6-9. Food Lion AutoFair runs from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday through Saturday and 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday.
Tickets for the Food Lion AutoFair can only be purchased at the gate on event days. Adult tickets are $10 per day with children under 12 admitted free when accompanied by an adult. Parking for the event is $5.
