Charlotte Motor Speedway will add another fabulous first to its legacy on Saturday when the world's largest HDTV airs a live simulcast concert by American Recordings artists, the Avett Brothers, from the legendary Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, Co. The simulcast will give local Avett Brothers fans the opportunity to view the live show on Charlotte Motor Speedway's massive 80-foot-by-200-foot HDTV. The speedway will also supply concert-grade speakers for the event, to turn the infield area in front of the HDTV into a one-of-a-kind concert venue.

Here’s what fans coming to the event need to know:

Tickets: Can be purchased at the ticket office or by calling 1-800-455-FANS (3267). Tickets are only $15 until the day of the event when the cost will be $20. Kids 12 and under are admitted free. Click here for a $5 off coupon for tickets purchased at the speedway on Saturday only.

Times: Gates will open at 8 p.m. Grace Potter and the Nocturnals are scheduled to begin at 9:30 p.m. with the Avett Brothers scheduled to perform around 11 p.m.  The event will be held rain or shine.

Directions: Fans should enter the speedway grounds from the main entrance at the intersection of Bruton Smith Blvd. and Hwy. 29. Fans will then be directed clockwise around the perimeter of the track to Gate 26/Turn 3 tunnel.

Parking: Parking is free. Fans will park inside the track near the Turn 3 tunnel and walk to the area in front of the HDTV for the concert simulcast. Prior to gates opening, fans who arrive early to tailgate will be directed to Gate 26.

What to Bring: Food and drink is allowed, in coolers no larger than 14’’ x 14’’. No glass bottles please. Fans may also bring in blankets and folding chairs for seating.

Concessions/Restrooms: These will be available inside the track near the concert area.
