Early Taste of Red Bull GRC Action at Week Seven of the Jack in the Box Summer Shootout Series
Fans in attendance at the Jack in the Box Summer Shootout Series this Tuesday night at Charlotte Motor Speedway will get an early taste of the adrenaline-pumping action of the Red Bull Global Rallycross series. Straight from the X Games, drivers Steve Arpin, Nelson Piquet Jr., Patrik Sandell, Sverre Isachsen and Bucky Lasek will be on hand for autographs and appearances.
The autograph session will take place from 6 to 7:30 p.m. on the main grandstand concourse. Fans will also see a special exhibition featuring one of the 600-horsepower, all-wheel drive, turbo-charged compact cars, which go from 0 to 60 in less than two seconds.
In addition, Lasek, a 14-time X Games medalist, will jump behind the wheel of a Legend Car to compete with Summer Shootout regulars in the Security Force Legend Car Masters division.
Red Bull Global Rallycross comes to The Dirt Track at Charlotte July 25-26. General admission tickets for adults are $25 per day or $40 for a two-day pass. Tickets for children 13 and under are $15 per day or $25 for a two-day pass. Each ticket is a paddock pass, allowing access to see the teams and drivers work on the cars.
Each night of the Jack in the Box Summer Shootout Series features a full slate of the nation's best Legend Car and Bandolero racing on the frontstretch quarter-mile, as well as appearances by the World's Fastest Mascot, Lug Nut, and tons of family fun.
Families are also welcome to come get a cool down from Charlotte Motor Speedway's fire truck, Engine 343, as it sprays water into the grandstands.
