Free Twinkies Tuesday Night at Jack in the Box Summer Shootout Series
A returning snack favorite will race its way back into fans' hearts and stomachs Tuesday at Charlotte Motor Speedway. The all-American Twinkie may have been absent from store shelves since November 2012, but it will make a scrumptious return at Round Seven of the Jack in the Box Summer Shootout Series.
Fans can skip the Twinkie-buying mayhem at local stores and come out to Charlotte Motor Speedway to satisfy their sweet tooth with the popular cream-filled sponge cake. The first 1,500 fans through the gates on Tuesday, July 16, will receive a free Twinkie.
After whetting their appetite with a golden dessert treat, fans can enjoy a main course of exciting Legend Car and Bandolero racing, plus three exciting exhibition races.
Round Seven's action-packed line-up also features a United States Lawn Mower Racing Association exhibition race, the Faster Pastor School Bus Race and the Little Luggies 600 Power Wheels race, in addition to a full racing card of Legend Cars and Bandoleros. Spectator gates will open early at 4:15 p.m. to make room for the packed lineup. Racing is scheduled to start at 4:30 p.m.
Tickets for the Summer Shootout Series are just $7 for adults and are available in advance at the speedway ticket office or at Gates 4 and 5 the night of the event. Kids 13 and under get in free. Tickets from Round Six will be honored this week.
Racing will be televised on the Fox Sports South network, with a recap show airing each Monday following the event at 6 p.m. and a re-air the following Saturday. Fans should check their local listings for more information.
