The stars of the premier Baja-style, off-road truck racing series, the Traxxas TORC Series presented by AMSOIL, are back for the second consecutive year at The Dirt Track at Charlotte for two nights of racing action, April 20-21.

Kicking off the 2012 season at The Dirt Track at Charlotte, the Traxxas TORC Series drivers will battle on a course of turns and jumps that will leave fans on the edge of their seats. The event will feature four divisions of competitors including PRO 4x4, PRO 2WD and PRO Light, as well as a Super Buggy class, which is new to The Dirt Track at Charlotte this year.

Those expected to compete include NASCAR Sprint Cup Series driver Robby Gordon, defending Traxxas TORC Series PRO 4x4 class champion Ricky Johnson and 2010 champion Johnny Greaves. During TORC's first visit to The Dirt Track at Charlotte in 2011, Greaves won the Saturday night feature after a fierce battle with Johnson in the closing laps.

Spectator gates open at 3 p.m. each night. Opening ceremonies start at 7 p.m. on Friday and 6 p.m. on Saturday. At the conclusion of each night, there will be a public pit party where fans can get up close to the drivers and their trucks. The pit party will also feature music by Tim Hall and Buffalo Country.

Friday night's Traxxas TORC Series racing action at The Dirt Track at Charlotte will air live on SPEED at 7:30 p.m. ET.

Tickets for the Traxxas TORC Series event at The Dirt Track at Charlotte are just $20 for adults and free for kids 13 and under each night.
