Jamie Johnson Wins Charlotte Motor Speedway Ticket Office Salesperson of the Year; Matt Bunn Named Ticket Operations Employee of the Year
Kannapolis, N.C., resident, Jamie Johnson was named the 2013 Ticket Office Salesperson of the Year during a banquet recognizing sales representatives for their hard work and exceptional results in the Charlotte Motor Speedway ticket office.
"Year after year, Jamie has worked hard to hone her skills and has been making fantastic advancements in her sales," said Tim Schuldt, vice president of consumer sales and marketing at Charlotte Motor Speedway. "This year was just exceptional with tremendous results in all the ways we measure success: calls, close ratios, transaction size and up-selling. She was amazing at all of them. We're proud to call her our Salesperson of 2013."
Johnson has been with the ticket office since 2008 and is an account executive for ticket sales. Her duties include establishing relationships with fans and helping them purchase tickets, camping and multiple entertainment upgrades to various Charlotte Motor Speedway and zMAX Dragway events. Her hard work was recognized in previous years when she received the "Workhorse" award for having the most outbound calls in 2012 and won the "Most Upsells" Award in 2011.
"It's really an honor to win this award," Johnson said. "I love getting to interact with fans on a daily basis and help them have a great time when they come to The Greatest Place to See the Race."
As part of her award, Johnson received a trophy, a monetary prize and a week's vacation for two to the location of her choice.
Johnson was not the only member of the ticket office honored at Wednesday's banquet. Six other employees were recognized for their 2013 accomplishments.
Matt Bunn, a Raleigh, N.C., native, was named the Ticket Operations Employee of the Year. Bunn is currently the ticket reporting manager and has been with the ticket office for two years.
"The different honors awarded at the ticket banquet really validate all the hard work that we do every year," Bunn said. "Being named the Ticket Operations Employee of the Year was a shock, but it gives me the motivation to do even better next year."
Ashley England, of Kannapolis, N.C., received the "Camping Salesperson of the Year" Award. England is an account executive in ticket and camping sales and has worked with the camping office for seven years.
Ashley Helms won the award for Most Outbound Calls and is an account executive in ticket sales. Helms, of Monroe, N.C., has been with the ticket office for more than six years.
Lee Ann Villanueva, of Kannapolis, N.C., received the "Most Part-Time Upsell Dollars" Award for 2013. Villanueva, an account executive for ticket sales, has worked in the ticket office since March 2012. Upsells include race-day experience upgrades such as pit passes, hospitality packages, driver introduction passes and more.
Jenni Bowden, of Concord, N.C., won the award for the "Most Full-Time Upsell Dollars" at this year's ceremony. Bowden is an account executive for Speedway Club ticket sales. Bowden has been with the ticket office since 1993 and was the 2011 Ticket Office Salesperson of the Year.
Also recognized was Monica Ellerbrock, of Charlotte, N.C., who was named Marketing Employee of the Year. Ellerbrock is the Marketing Coordinator of Ticketing and Affinity Programs at Charlotte Motor Speedway.
