Let the Troops Race Ticket Program Allows Fans and Companies to Send Troops to the Coca-Cola 600
Charlotte Motor Speedway is inviting everyone to pay tribute to the men and women who protect American freedoms by allowing fans and companies to purchase discounted Coca-Cola 600 tickets for the troops through the Let the Troops Race ticket program.
Fans who purchase tickets to the May 30 Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte Motor Speedway via phone, online or in the speedway ticket office can purchase an additional ticket for just $20 to send a member of the U.S. Armed Forces to the Memorial Day Weekend race. For their donation, fans will receive recognition on the Charlotte Motor Speedway Web site, in the Coca-Cola 600 souvenir program for orders received before April 28, and on Sprint Vision screens at the speedway during the race weekend. Fans will also receive a voucher for a free Coca-Cola at the track.
Companies can also participate by purchasing a block of tickets for troops and their families with a 25-ticket minimum purchase at the $20 per ticket price. For their donation, companies will receive the same recognition as fans, plus inclusion in a 30-second recognition spot on the Sprint Vision screens which will play at the speedway during Coca-Cola 600 Race Weekend.
Tickets will be distributed through the United Service Organizations to active servicemen and women.
Charlotte Motor Speedway is donating 3,000 seats to soldiers from Fort Bragg, N.C. More than 600 soldiers from Fort Bragg will participate in the Coca-Cola 600 pre-race show with a spectacular demonstration involving Blackhawk helicopters and 105 mm Howitzer guns.
“The Let the Troops Race ticket program gives our fans the opportunity to honor the men and women in the U.S. military on the most patriotic weekend of the year,” said Marcus Smith, president and general manager of Charlotte Motor Speedway. “We are challenging race fans and companies alike to match our ticket donation and give as many American troops as possible the chance to make lifetime memories with us on Memorial Day Weekend at the Coca-Cola 600.”
The Let the Troops Race ticket program runs through May 22.
Charlotte Motor Speedway is also offering specially priced tickets for the NASCAR Sprint All-Star Race and Coca-Cola 600 to all members of the U.S. Armed Forces who wish to purchase tickets directly. Special military pricing is available for all major events at the speedway, zMAX Dragway and The Dirt Track at Charlotte.
