More than 40,000 fans will descend upon Charlotte Motor Speedway's Rock City Campgrounds Saturday and Sunday for Monster Energy Carolina Rebellion, the mid-Atlantic's biggest rock festival.

The two-day event is returning to speedway property for the third consecutive year and will feature nearly 40 bands. Highlighting the event are Slipknot, Korn, Godsmack, Marilyn Manson, Slayer, Slash featuring Myles Kennedy and The Conspirators, Rise Against, Sammy Hagar & The Circle (Michael Anthony, Jason Bonham & Vic Johnson), Breaking Benjamin and Papa Roach.

Area motorists can expect increased traffic near the speedway on Saturday and Sunday. Fans attending are encouraged to utilize Hwy. 29 and turn onto Bruton Smith Blvd. for parking. The North Carolina State Highway Patrol will provide traffic assistance both days.

Single-day and weekend ticket packages are still available for Monster Energy Carolina Rebellion and can be purchased on the event's website. For more information, visit the Monster Energy Carolina Rebellion Twitter and Facebook pages or download the festival app from iTunes or Google Play.
