New Camping Offers and Programs Add to Fan Experience at Charlotte Motor Speedway
There has never been a better time to camp at Charlotte Motor Speedway with the addition of new amenities and programs, ensuring fans have an unforgettable time while camping at the track in 2012. From receiving the most up-to-date information via text messages to renting a campsite in front of the world’s largest HDTV, there are several new ways for fans to experience the races.
Get the Best View in the House In Front of the World’s Largest HDTV
Last year, Charlotte Motor Speedway officials unveiled the world’s largest HDTV and this year campers will be able to enjoy the ultimate experience with 15 prime infield RV spots right in front of the monstrous television. Fans that purchase these spots will get a one-of-a-kind front row view of the racing action both in person and on the screen. Each spot is equipped with electrical hook-ups. These campsites are available for the NASCAR Sprint All-Star Race, Coca-Cola 600 and Bank of America 500, but are going fast. For more information or to purchase a spot, contact the Charlotte Motor Speedway camping office at 704-455-4445.
Stay in the Loop with the New Texting Program
In an effort to keep campers up to speed on everything that’s going on during event weekends at Charlotte Motor Speedway and its facilities, the camping department is now offering a texting program. Fans who sign up will receive important updates sent directly to their mobile device from track officials regarding camping as well as information about certain camping activities. To sign up and get the latest information, call the Charlotte Motor Speedway camping office at 704-455-4445.
Rent an RV for the Ultimate Race Vacation
Charlotte Motor Speedway is now offering RV rentals for fans who want to camp at the races but don’t own an RV. The RV units are available to rent throughout the year and during all major race weekends at Charlotte Motor Speedway, zMAX Dragway and The Dirt Track at Charlotte. Each RV is fully equipped and fans can camp in a variety of campgrounds, including the Tom Johnson Camping Center Racing Resort, which has full water and electrical hook-ups and includes a picnic table. All fans have to do is call the camping office to reserve an RV and it will be ready upon arrival. For information on pricing or to make a reservation, call 704-455-4445.
Camper Rewards Club Offers Added Value
Charlotte Motor Speedway camping has announced a brand new Camper Rewards Club exclusively for Charlotte Motor Speedway campers. For each NASCAR or NHRA event that a fan purchases camping, they’ll receive a sticker to place on their RV. If a fan purchases campsites for all three NASCAR events, or both NHRA events, they will receive a Camper Rewards Club flag. Fans who purchase all five events will receive two flags. If a fan has campsites for one event and decides to upgrade and add an additional campsite for another 2012 event, they will receive their choice of a Charlotte Motor Speedway camping chair or 6-pack cooler. To purchase a spot or ask about the Camper Rewards Club, contact the camping office at 704-455-4445.
Purchase Daily Camping Online
For years, daily camping has been available to travelers and families during non-event time at Charlotte Motor Speedway’s Tom Johnson Camping Center Racing Resort, but now fans can have the added convenience of reserving and purchasing a spot online. The Tom Johnson Racing Resort is a full hook-up campground located across the street from the 1.5-mile superspeedway. Daily camping is available for just $25 a night for back-in sites and $30 for pull-through spots. To purchase a campsite, visit http://www.charlottemotorspeedway.com/camping/.
