Charlotte Motor Speedway is gearing up for NASCAR’s return during October’s Bank of America 500 Week by offering new and improved tours that will give race fans an opportunity to experience motorsports like never before.

A variety of tours with many different levels of involvement will be offered. Fans can choose from convenient daily tours or special race-time tours, all of which are officially endorsed by Charlotte Motor Speedway. Tours offered during event time include the NASCAR Hall of Fame and Race Shop Tours, while daily tours include the Feel the Thrill and Over the Wall Tours.

NASCAR Hall of Fame Tour
While fans are in town for the Bank of America 500 on Oct. 16, they can combine a visit to “The Greatest Place to See the Race” with a tour through NASCAR history at the newly-opened NASCAR Hall of Fame. Roundtrip transportation from Charlotte Motor Speedway and admission to the Hall of Fame is included in the tour package.

Times: 9:30 a.m. on Oct. 13-16; 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 17

Race Shop Tours
Charlotte Motor Speedway’s Race Shop Tours will give fans a behind-the-scenes look at NASCAR’s most successful teams. Three exciting tours will be offered during Bank of America 500 Race Week this October including:

- The Roush Fenway Racing, Stewart-Haas Racing, Hendrick Motorsports and Earnhardt Ganassi Racing Tour
Tickets: $39 for adults; $33 for children 12 and under
Times: Wednesday, Oct. 13 at 9:30 a.m.; Friday, Oct. 15 at 1:30 p.m.

- The JR Motorsports, Dale Earnhardt Inc., The Dale Trail and Curb Motorsports Museum Tour
Tickets: $39 for adults; $33 for children 12 and under
Times: Thursday, Oct. 14 at 1:30 p.m.; Friday, Oct. 15 at 9:30 a.m.

- The Joe Gibbs Racing, Michael Waltrip Racing – Race World USA and Penske Racing Tour
Tickets: $49 for adults; $38 for children 12 and under
Times: Wednesday, Oct. 13 at 1:30 p.m.; Thursday, Oct. 14 at 9:30 a.m.

The various Race Shop Tours will provide fans with the opportunity to visit the Hendrick Motorsports Museum, watch a movie in the Roush Fenway amphitheater, experience the inner workings of a NASCAR race shop at Race World USA and see cars driven to Victory Lane by some of the biggest names in NASCAR. Each tour is approximately 3.5 hours.

Feel the Thrill Tour
The Feel the Thrill Tour at Charlotte Motor Speedway has been enhanced to provide fans with an opportunity to see areas of the legendary superspeedway that are not accessible to fans on race days and learn the storied history of “The Greatest Place to See the Race”. This exciting tour lasts nearly an hour and allows fans to experience the extreme 24-degree banking in the turns when the tour van takes a lap around the 1.5-mile track. Tour participants will also get to see the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series and NASCAR Nationwide Series garages located in the infield, travel the two infield road courses, ride down pit road and stop for a picture in Victory Circle. In addition to the speedway tour, fans will also get a glimpse of the Bellagio of drag strips, as the 11:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. tours will continue across the street at the state-of-the-art zMAX Dragway.
Tickets: $9 for adults and children 10 and older; $7 for seniors (65 and older), military personnel and children nine and under
Times: Non-event days Monday through Saturday at 9:30 a.m., 10:30 a.m., 11:30 a.m., 1:30 p.m., 2:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m., and Sunday at 1:30 p.m., 2:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m.

Over the Wall
The new Over the Wall Tour includes the entire Feel the Thrill Tour experience listed above plus the opportunity to walk on the track surface, stroll down pit road, witness amazing views from atop the Ford Grandstand, visit one of the speedway’s 113 suites and see the luxurious Speedway Club. The Over the Wall experience also includes a tour of the Infield Care Center, Performance Racing Network’s studios, Time Warner Media Center and Victory Circle. The two hours Over the Wall Tour is limited to fans 10 years of age or older.
Tickets: $17 for adults and children 10 and older; $15 for seniors (65 and older) and military personnel
Times: Non-event days, Monday through Saturday at 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.
