Calling all drag racers, near and far, to the world’s fastest track for the opening round of the NOS Energy Mayhem @ the MAX, this Saturday, April 28 at zMAX Dragway. The six-round series will consist of racing for six classes on both the eighth-mile and the quarter-mile.

In addition, NOS Energy Mayhem @ the MAX will showcase NHRA Junior Dragsters. The NHRA Jr. Drag Racing League allows kids from ages 8 to 17 to race half-scale dragsters to the eighth-mile in a controlled environment. The downsized dragsters can reach speeds of about 85 mph.

Racers can enter Super Pro, Pro Street, Top Eliminator, Sportsman, Motorcycle or Junior Dragster classes. Top Eliminator, Sportsman and Junior Dragster will compete on the eighth-mile. Each class has separate eligibility requirements and entry fees. Points will be tallied after each event and champions in each category will be crowned. Each competitor must sign up to run for points. Further information can be found at Season winners will be eligible for the NHRA bracket finals.
