Fans can enjoy hot rods and hot cakes Saturday, April 14, during the third annual NHRA Four-Wide Nationals at zMAX Dragway as the Charlotte Chapter of Speedway Children's Charities (SCC) and B.R.A.K.E.S. team up for a pancake fundraiser.

The Hot Rods and Hot Cakes breakfast, located in the Don Schumacher Racing hospitality pit area from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m., will give fans the opportunity to eat breakfast alongside NHRA's most notable team owners and drivers.

“It’s exciting to be able to have an event right in the middle of the NHRA pit area,” said Doug Herbert, founder of B.R.A.K.E.S. “It makes it really easy for the fans to mingle with all the drivers who support B.R.A.K.E.S and teen safe driving.”

Herbert is also an NHRA Top Fuel driver and is expected to compete in the upcoming NHRA Four-Wide Nationals, where he made it to the final round of eliminations in the inaugural event.

Tickets for the Hot Rods and Hot Cakes breakfast may be purchased in advance for $10 or the day of the event for $15. Proceeds will help SCC continue to support local children in need as well as help B.R.A.K.E.S. to teach teens the importance of safe driving.
