Traffic Advisory - NMRA/NMCA Attendees Should Utilize Highways 29, 49
With zMAX Dragway's three-day NMRA/NMCA All-Star Nationals opening at 8 a.m. Friday Aug. 6, commuters traveling to or from work on Highway 29 or Bruton Smith Boulevard can expect increased traffic in the speedway area.
In addition, traffic around Concord Mills Mall is expected to be heavy Friday Aug. 6 through Sunday Aug. 8, due to the August Sales Tax Holiday in North Carolina.
zMAX Dragway officials recommend NMRA/NMCA All-Star Nationals attendees utilize Highways 29 and 49 to enter/exit the dragway area and avoid Interstate 85.
Two of the country's top sanctioning bodies for street-legal drag racing, the National Mustang Racing Association and the National Muscle Car Association, will converge at zMAX Dragway Aug. 6-8 for the second annual NMRA/NMCA All-Star Nationals. The three-day event features the biggest and brightest stars from each organization, competing at the world's only all-concrete, four-lane drag strip.
