Coca-Cola 600 Pit Note #13
Toyota Teams with Charlotte Motor Speedway to Honor Wounded Warrior Battalion –
Toyota Racing and its partners have teamed with Charlotte Motor Speedway to give 150 soldiers and their families an unforgettable racing experience for Sunday’s Coca-Cola 600.
The Wounded Warrior Battalion guests will leave by motorcoach from Fort Stewart, Ga. on Sunday morning and return after the race. While attending the Coca-Cola 600, the soldiers and their families will be treated to catered meals in a hospitality tent donated by Charlotte Motor Speedway, pre-race pit passes, driver appearances, gift bags, race scanners and tickets. Toyota Racing drivers including Kyle Busch, David Reutimann and Martin Truex Jr., will be on hand to greet the soldiers when they arrive at the track.
The Wounded Warrior Battalion is responsible for the care and treatment of 400-plus wounded soldiers returning from Iraq and Afghanistan. Many of these soldiers have been stationed at the battalion for years, enduring countless treatments for their injuries.
