Kurt Busch (No. 2 Penske/Miller Lite-Vortex Dodge, race winner) – “To be able to do this in front of the entire Penske organization is just unbelievable. It sure does feel great. To bounce off the wall like that a couple of times and still win – I’m not sure how we did it. We had a rough third segment (laps 70-90) of this race. All we did was bolt on two right-side tires and thought we had the right strategy, but it really tightened the car up. I don’t know if it was that set of tires or not or what. We didn’t adjust anything, but I really was disappointed with the third segment. We were able to rally, and that felt good. We took that 10-minute break and took a deep breath and collected our thoughts and refocused for the last 10 laps. We made a couple of shock changes on the front and just really went after it. I thought the car was good enough and it was.”

Steve Addington (No. 2 Penske Dodge crew chief) – “It feels great to pull it off. We were in the right position to do what we did. It all opened for us and worked out for us in the long run. We were running the high line and maybe made a mistake, but the car was tough.”

Martin Truex Jr. (No. 56 Michael Waltrip Racing/NAPA Auto Parts Toyota, runner up) – “Yeah, it was a lot of fun. Just needed a few more laps. We had a real good test here about a month ago and we learned a lot. We used a lot from that here tonight, and I’m sure we’ll use a lot of that for the 600. Yeah, it felt good, and we felt we could get it done, and, hopefully, we can get it better and come back here and do it again.”

Joey Logano (No. 20, Joe Gibbs Racing/Home Depot Toyota, third place) – “We had a good car. Got lucky, was able to start on the inside of the front row, but it seemed like the nose wanted to push clear across the bottom of the track, and I had to back off a little and fell behind. I was getting a run on the 48, and I wasn’t doing it right, but you get to a point in the race where you have to go for it. A lot of guys were spinning their tires in front of me there, and I don’t know if that was causing them to run into the wall or not. You are going as hard as you possibly can in a race like this, and it does get crazy.”
