    After a wild 10-lap last segment Tony Stewart thrilled fans and banked $1 million on Saturday night with a win in the NASCAR Sprint All-Star Race. He led only two laps before taking the checkers. This was Stewart's first victory in the NASCAR Sprint All-Star Race. It was also Stewart's first victory as a Sprint Cup team owner.

     The official number of cars collected in the biggest wreck, coined "The Big One," during Sunday's NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race at Talladega, Ala., was 14. As a result, Charlotte Motor Speedway will sell 1,000 tickets combined to the NASCAR Sprint All-Star Race on May 16 and the 50th running of the Coca-Cola 600 on May 24 at only $14 beginning at noon on Monday.

    Lowe's Companies, Inc. will continue as title sponsor of Charlotte Motor Speedway in 2009, executives from both companies announced today.

    The home improvement retailer, based in Mooresville, N.C., obtained naming rights for the legendary track, formerly known as Charlotte Motor Speedway, in 1999. Lowe's will retain naming rights at the superspeedway as well as marketing exclusivity in the home improvement category through a one-year contract extension.
