Several of the NHRA’s top Pro Stock teams will test at zMAX Dragway on Wednesday, Sept. 8, in conjunction with the final round of the Summer Drag & Brag Series. The NHRA teams will be getting valuable track time in preparation for the O’Reilly Auto Parts NHRA Nationals, Sept. 16-19 at the Bellagio of drag strips.

The July 14 finale of the Summer Drag & Brag Series featured a car count of more than 100 cars and some great grudge-racing action. Daniel Gonzalez of Concord, N.C. recorded a perfect .000 second reaction time during round six of Summer Drag & Brag in his 2005 Nissan Sentra. He also took home the night’s Iron Man award for making 23 passes.

Round five of the Summer Drag & Brag Series saw the debut of Minivan Madness at the Bellagio of drag strips on Wednesday evening. Wes Kiser in his 2009 Toyota Sienna beat out Phil Bonifield in a 2004 Chevrolet Van in the final round to take home the $100 Food Lion gift card.

Inclement weather and a forecast full of rain have wiped out tonight's action at round four of the Summer Drag & Brag Series at zMAX Dragway. The event will be postponed until later in the season.

Despite record temperatures nearing 100 degrees in the Charlotte area, the biggest crowd of the year descended on the Bellagio of drag strips for round three on Wednesday of the Summer Brag and Drag Series. All types of vehicles, from pickup trucks to powerful drag racing machines to street bikes took to the concrete quarter-mile at zMAX Dragway to compete for the opportunity to win the evening’s awards.

Great weather and great racing graced the Bellagio of drag strips on Wednesday during round two of the Summer Brag and Drag Series at zMAX Dragway.
