Summer Shootout

June 13 through July 26, Charlotte Motor Speedway will host the Summer Shootout Series offering racing thrills for the whole family to enjoy. The action on the track features Legend Cars and Bandoleros, along with other exciting events such as school bus racing. Children can visit the Powerade Play Zone featuring bounce houses, interactive games and appearances by Lug Nut, the world’s fastest mascot. Tickets are $7 for adults and just $3 for kids 6 to 12. Children 5 and under are free!

Summer Drag & Brag

zMAX Dragway will host a Summer Drag and Brag series on six Wednesdays throughout June and July, offering grass roots drag racing for amateurs of all ages. All vehicles are welcomed to participate as long as they pass technical inspection prior to racing. Tickets will be available the same day of the race at Ticket Booth 2 on the east side of the dragway. Spectators are just $5 and Children 12 and under are free! Gates open at 4 p.m., racing from 5 to 9 p.m.

Faith, Family & Freedom

On Saturday, June 25, at zMAX Dragway there will be entertainment for the whole family as the radio station New Life 91.9 WRCM presents the Faith, Family & Freedom celebration with Kutless, Britt Nicole, Echoing Angels and Caleb performing at 6 p.m. Fans can enjoy a special pre-party concert at 4 p.m. with Abandon, Finding Favour, Heather Williams, Know Hope Collective and the Advice. All general admission seats are free, but a ticket is required for entry. Special, limited priority seating is available for $10. Circle K Back-To-School Monster Truck Bash

The octane-burning, fire-breathing monsters of the Circle K Back-To-School Monster Truck Bash return to The Dirt Track at Charlotte on Saturday, August 13. The custom-built, fuel- injected engines produce between 1,500-2,000 horsepower and look to wreak havoc on the competition and anything that might get in their way.  Tickets are $20 for adults and just $10 for kids 12 and under. Make sure to get to the track early as all children are invited to meet the drivers and see the trucks up close at the pre-race pit party that is included in the price of admission. 

Food Lion Auto Fair

The world’s largest Automotive Extravaganza returns to the Charlotte Motor Speedway August 25-28, 2011. The Food Lion Auto Fair features more than 50 car clubs and more than 10,000 vender spaces that offer a huge array of automotive parts and memorabilia. Parents can bring their children to the Powerade Play Zone featuring a petting zoo, bounce houses, and many other unique interactive games. Having entertainment for children to enjoy makes this year’s Food Lion Auto Fair an attraction for families of all ages to participate in. Children 12 and under are admitted free with an accompanying adult.
