Jamerson Wesson, of Macon, Ga. is the first winner in Charlotte Motor Speedway's Road Trip to the Races sweepstakes, earning himself a VIP trip to the Bank of America 500 on Oct. 12 and the chance to win a Toyota Camry.

Wesson won the prize pick by successfully deciphering the first two clues offered in today's contest at Atlanta Motor Speedway.

Wesson and his family and friends always camp at the Atlanta race, and also attend the races at Charlotte.

"I heard the first clue, and remembered that the backstretch used to be the front so headed back there," Wesson said. "Then I heard the clue about Jimmy Carter working here, and knew he worked in the ticket office. I tried to find the old ticket office but it wasn't there.  Then, I came to the new ticket office and gift shop and searched around until I found it.

Wesson said he's excited about returning to Charlotte Motor Speedway for the Bank of America 500, a trip which will now include pit passes, driver t-shirts and refreshments courtesy of his Road Trip to the Races sweepstakes win.

"I'm excited to go to the race in Charlotte. It's one of my favorite tracks with all of the race shops around there," he said. "The track combines both action and strategy, so it's always a lot of fun. I can't wait until this fall!"

Fans will have additional chances to win a trip to the Bank of America 500 by following clues throughout the month of September and finding additional suitcases hidden around the Charlotte region. One additional suitcase will be hidden virtually, given fans around the country the chance to win a VIP trip. Clues will be posted each weekday at www.charlottemotorspeedway.com/roadtrip or on Facebook or Twitter.
