NHRA 4-Wide Nationals
This Weekend - Every Ticket Pit Pass
There has never been a better time for families to witness the greatest spectacle in drag racing than THIS WEEKEND at zMAX Dragway for the third annual NHRA Four-Wide Nationals, April 13-15.
Children 13 and under get in FREE to the three-day event with a paying adult and once inside they can visit the new-and-improved POWERADE Play Zone, located behind the John Force Grandstand, which will include an 8,000 square foot remote control car dirt course built by Traxxas.
All ticket holders are allowed into the pit area during the event. Kids of all ages can meet the stars of the sport and see the crews prepare for each thrilling pass down the Bellagio of drag strips.

Powerade PlayZone - Dog-Riding Monkeys

Dog-riding monkeys, stilt-walkers and carnival games will greet young fans at the Food Lion AutoFair April 19-22, as the POWERADE PlayZone expands its offerings to bring even more fun and excitement to the world’s largest automotive extravaganza.
Tim “Wild Thang” Lepard and his must-see team of dog-riding monkeys will take center stage in the POWERADE PlayZone during performances on Friday, April 20, at 12 p.m., 2 p.m. and 4 p.m., and again on Saturday, April 21, at 10 a.m., 12 p.m. and 2 p.m. Lepard has been entertaining fans at rodeo-style events for nearly 25 years. The Trucks Are Coming - TORC Trucks series presented by AMS Oil
Friday, April 20 – Saturday, April 21
The stars of the premier Baja-style, off-road truck racing series, the Traxxas TORC Series presented by AMS Oil, are back for the second consecutive year at The Dirt Track at Charlotte for two nights of racing action, April 20-21.
Kicking off the 2012 season at The Dirt Track at Charlotte, the Traxxas TORC Series drivers will battle on a course of turns and jumps that will leave fans on the edge of their seats. The event will feature four divisions of competitors including PRO 4x4, PRO 2WD and PRO Light, as well as a Super Buggy class, which is new to The Dirt Track at Charlotte this year.
Tickets are just $20 for adults and FREE for kids 13 and under each night, with a paying adult. Fans can get $5 off their ticket when they also purchase a ticket to the Food Lion AutoFair being held at Charlotte Motor Speedway, April 19-22. NASCAR Terms with Lug Nut
Happy Hour - Slang term for the last official practice session held before an event. Usually refers to the Sprint Cup Series. Always takes place the day before the cup race.
Template - A device used to check the body shape and size to ensure compliance with the rules. The template closely resembles the shape of the factory version of the car.
