Red Solo Truck and Avenger Smashed the Field at the Circle K Back-to-School Monster Truck Bash
The massive monster trucks of the 14th annual Circle K Back-to-School Monster Truck Bash put on a shock-inducing show for the standing-room-only crowd Saturday night. Red Solo Truck and driver Brandon Budd were victorious in the elimination challenge, while Jim Koehler and Avenger wowed the crowd in the freestyle competition.
The final round of the elimination challenge ended with Red Solo Truck as the life of the party and Gunslinger left in the dust. The racing was close, but the over-under jump proved to be too much for Gunslinger, who spun out of control, allowing Red Solo Truck to take the lead and the win.
In the freestyle competition, it was veteran Avenger who performed the most amazing jumps and tricks. Koehler ended his performance with a spectacular crash that brought everyone to their feet. The driver beat out last year's winner Stone Crusher, as well as other famed competitors such as Brutus, Equalizer and Samson.
The Circle K Back-to-School Monster Truck Bash kicked off with a Pre-Race Pit Party. Fans were able to get up-close and personal with the monster trucks and their drivers. To deal with the large amounts of interest, two ride trucks were available to let fans experience the thrill and excitement of monster truck action. But the excitement didn't stop there for fans when Team FMX Motocross took to the track to show off their flips and tricks in the air.
