Speedway Children's Charities, in conjunction with the world premiere of the Disney / Pixar film "CARS," will host a pre-screening reception on Friday, May 26, at 6 p.m. prior to the movie's showing at Lowe's Motor Speedway.

The reception, which will feature both celebrities and NASCAR personalities, is open to the public with different levels of ticket classifications available. Everybody purchasing tickets to the reception will walk the red carpet into the premiere and receive preferred movie seating in Lowe's Motor Speedway's Turn 2, which will be transformed into a state-of-the-art movie theater with digital projection and surround sound.

Both reserved and general admission tickets are available for the pre-screening reception, where music and games will be enjoyed by all. A reserved / staffed table for 10 costs $2,000 and includes a full-page ad in the program. For $1,500, a reserved table for 10 includes a listing in the program. Unreserved reception seating costs $125 for adults, $35 for children under 12.

The list of celebrities scheduled to attend includes Paul Newman, Owen Wilson, Bonnie Hunt and Larry the Cable Guy; all of whom supplied voices to characters in the movie. NASCAR legends Richard Petty and Darrell Waltrip, along with "Humpy" Wheeler, also are voice talents from the film who will be joining the evening's activities.

Speedway Children's Charities provides funds to organizations that meet the direct needs of children. From mentoring programs to camps for special-needs children, they best affect children's lives by supporting organizations that work tirelessly to see that children's needs are met and that no child is left behind regardless of illness, social environment or disability.
