LM Racer to Win Speedway Club Membership
Known as The Speedway Club Colossal Pass, the award is valued at $2,000 and will place the winner among the private club's elite clientele who utilize the motorsports environment to entertain friends, sponsors and business associates.
"This award represents a very unique opportunity and it's a tremendous way to honor the hardest charger in the inaugural Circle K Colossal 100," said H.A. "Humpy" Wheeler, president and general manager of Charlotte Motor Speedway. "The winner will be able to entertain sponsors, manufacturers, parts suppliers or even his crew in the same luxurious facility that is utilized by many in the NASCAR industry."
Located high above the Charlotte Motor Speedway frontstretch, The Speedway Club opened in 1987 and has grown into one of the largest private clubs of its type in the nation. The club offers the area's finest cuisine and entertainment along with a spectacular view of the legendary 1.5-mile superspeedway.
The Speedway Club Colossal Pass will go to the driver who advances the most positions during the event's 100-lap finale. In the case of a tie, the highest finisher will earn the award.
Featuring posted awards of $200,000, the Circle K Colossal 100 will conclude with a 100-lap feature paying $50,000 to the winner. Thirty-six cars will take the green flag in the main event with each starter guaranteed at least $2,000.
If purchased in advance, reserved tickets for both Friday and Saturday nights of the Circle K Colossal 100 are $49 for adults and $19 for children ages 12 and under. Two-day pit passes are $60 in advance.
