Tickets Going Fast for Circle K Colossal 100
With race fans from 26 states and three Canadian provinces having already reserved their seats, tickets for the April 21-22 Circle K Colossal 100 at The Dirt Track @ Charlotte Motor Speedway are going fast.
"The inaugural Circle K Colossal 100 has generated a tremendous response from fans and competitors across the country," said H.A. "Humpy" Wheeler, president and general manager of Charlotte Motor Speedway. "Fans should purchase tickets now to ensure they are part of what promises to be a truly colossal event."
Featuring posted awards of $200,000, the Circle K Colossal 100 will conclude with a 100-lap championship late model feature paying $50,000 to the winner. Thirty-six cars will take the green flag in the main event with each starter guaranteed at least $2,000.
The two-day program is the biggest event in the seven-year history of The Dirt Track and is among the richest dirt late model races in the nation.
Dirt late model fans from California, Washington, New York, Rhode Island and the Canadian provinces of Alberta, Manitoba and Ontario are among those who have reserved their seats for the Circle K Colossal 100. Other states represented by ticket buyers heading south for the event include Minnesota, Michigan, Wisconsin, Illinois, Delaware and Pennsylvania.
On the competitor side, the entry list for the April 21-22 Circle K Colossal 100 includes 160 cars and reads like a "Who's Who" of dirt late model racing.
Scott Bloomquist, Donnie Moran, Billy Moyer, Steve Francis, Tim McCreadie, Earl Pearson Jr., Chub Frank and Dale McDowell are among those expected to challenge for the $50,000 first-place prize.
If purchased in advance, reserved tickets for both Friday and Saturday nights of the Circle K Colossal 100 are $49 for adults and $19 for children ages 12 and under. Two-day pit passes are $60 in advance.
