Chrissy Wallace, the 18-year-old daughter of veteran NASCAR driver Mike Wallace, leads the Peach Auto Body Legends Car Pro division point standings after three rounds of Charlotte Motor Speedway's 10-race Summer Shootout Series.

A rookie in the series' premier division, Wallace has recorded three top-10 finishes and the Concord, N.C., youngster holds a slim four-point lead over Kyle Fowler of Smyrna, Ga., in the championship chase.

In fact, the top-four drivers in the Legends Car Pro division standings are separated by just six points. Tyler Green, son of veteran NASCAR driver Mark Green, is third, just five points behind Wallace, while 2003 series champion Michael Van Wingerden is six points back in fourth.

Other series point leaders are: National Guard Legends Car Semi-Pro, Paddy Rodenbeck, Odessa, Fla.; Legends Car Masters, George "Cotton" Spry, Salisbury, N.C.; Thunder Roadsters, Thomas Van Wingerden, Huntersville, N.C.; Lucas Oil Bandolero Bandits, Cody Blackburn, Stanley, N.C.; Lucas Oil Bandolero Young Guns, Austin Hill, Winston, Ga.; Lucas Oil Bandolero Outlaws, Bruce Benson II, Lexington, N.C.

The series runs each Tuesday night through Aug. 8 with a special Monday night event on July 3. More than 200 cars are expected to jam the pit area for each night of the family-oriented racing program.

Summer Shootout admission is just $5 for adults. Children 6-12 are admitted for $3 and kids under 6 are free. Tickets are available in advance at the speedway ticket office and at Gates 4 and 5 the night of the event. Parking is free.
