Pole Position, a high-quality motorsports magazine previewing the Oct. 11-14 Bank of America 500 Week events at Charlotte Motor Speedway, will be available free of charge starting Monday, Oct. 2.

The 80-page, all-color magazine will be distributed through Charlotte area Lowe's, Food Lion, Circle K and Wal-Mart stores.

Featured on the cover of Pole Position are NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series championship contenders Jimmie Johnson and Matt Kenseth. The magazine also includes articles on rookie sensation Denny Hamlin and veterans Mark Martin and Jeff Burton.

Fans will find valuable pre-race information including schedules, race previews, trivia, games and driver profiles. The magazine is also filled with high-quality NASCAR photography from the Charlotte Motor Speedway photo staff.

Bank of America 500 Week starts Wednesday night, Oct. 11, at The Dirt Track @ Charlotte Motor Speedway with the Jani-King Southern Showdown for the Lucas Oil Dirt Late Model Series.

Action moves to Charlotte Motor Speedway on Thursday night, Oct. 12, when Bojangles' Pole Night features qualifying for the Bank of America 500. Friday night, Oct. 13, more than 20 NEXTEL Cup Series drivers are expected to battle the best of the Busch Series in the Dollar General 300. The Bank of America 500, the only night race in the Chase for the NASCAR NEXTEL Cup, rounds out the schedule on Saturday night, Oct. 14.
