Todd Fisher, promoter of Susquehanna Speedway Park in Newberrytown, Pa., will be honored as the Charlotte Motor Speedway Promoter of the Year during pre-race festivities for the Dollar General 300 NASCAR Busch Series race Friday night, Oct. 13, at Charlotte Motor Speedway.

In a region saturated with dirt-track racing, Fisher has devised a formula that attracts both fans and competitors for two nights of action-packed racing each week at the four-tenths-mile dirt track. Running from mid-April through early November, Fisher and his staff at Susquehanna Speedway Park host nearly 50 events with divisions ranging from winged sprint cars to school buses.

"Todd has done a tremendous job of reviving a race track that struggled for many years," said H.A. "Humpy" Wheeler, president and general manager of Charlotte Motor Speedway. "His dedication to running a tight, efficient program-combined with an emphasis on fan-friendly admission prices and entertaining special events-has made Susquehanna Speedway Park a popular destination for motorsports entertainment.

"The blue-ribbon panel that annually selects the Charlotte Motor Speedway Promoter of the Year places heavy emphasis on a track's entertainment value, and it's clear to see why Todd Fisher was selected to receive this year's award."

A Fan Alley behind the Turn 1 grandstand, Camera and Autograph nights and free admission for children are just a sampling of the fan-oriented promotions Fisher has implemented. In addition to a diverse schedule of weekly racing, his roster of special events this season included appearances by the ARDC midgets, DIRT modifieds and the sprint cars of the National Sprint Tour.

Former recipients of the Charlotte Motor Speedway Promoter of the Year Award include Earl Baltes, Ralph Capitani, Ned Jarrett, Bill Donoho, Dick and Bob Bahre, Charles PoweII, Mickey Swims, Frank Plessinger and Tom Curley.

Tickets for the Dollar General 300 on Friday night, Oct. 13, start at just $17 and can be purchased online at www.charlottemotorspeedway.com or by calling 1-800-455-FANS.
