214 Entries for Nov. 3-4 World Short-Track Event
Weekly short-track drivers from as far away as New York, Iowa and Texas are among those scheduled to compete in the annual end-of-the-season extravaganza that boasts a $52,000 purse for six divisions.
The limited late model stock cars of the United Southern Late Model Series headline the two-day program and Furman Parton, of Union Mills, N.C., is among the entrants. Parton is the defending limited late model champion of the Domino's Pizza World Short-Track Championships.
The winged sprint cars of the Heintz Performance American Sprint Car Series Southern Tour will also be in action and the series championship will be decided. Heading into the season finale, Coby Adams, of Mooresville, N.C., holds a slim seven-point advantage over Cherryville, N.C., resident Johnny Bridges.
Roger Moser, of Fulton, Mo., a two-time feature winner at The Dirt Track, is entered in the IMCA modified portion of the program while Greg Carroll, the track's most recent 4-Cylinder feature winner, faces stiff competition as the Greer, S.C., driver is among 74 entries in the compact division.
The crate models of the Fastrak Racing Series and the wild-and-wacky CRASHCars round out the action-packed program.
Practice and qualifying heat races for each of the six divisions will be Friday night, Nov. 3, with the last chance races and championship feature events on tap Saturday night, Nov. 4.
One ticket is good for both nights of the Domino's Pizza World Short-Track Championships and adult seats are just $25 with children ages 12 and under admitted for $10.
