Race Fans to Help Test Track's Water & Sewer System

What: In preparation for Lowe's Motor Speedway's schedule of May races, including the May 19 NASCAR NEXTEL All-Star Challenge and the May 27 Coca-Cola 600, track officials are asking race fans to help test the track's water and sewer system during the Royal Flush.

The event will take place as part of the final night of NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series testing and spectators will be admitted to the frontstretch grandstand free of charge. The Flush will be coordinated by the track public address announcer and a limited number of commemorative Royal Flush T-shirts will be available to participants.

When: Tuesday, May 8, 7:30 p.m. (EDT)

Participants: Lowe's Motor Speedway's frontstretch grandstand will be open free of charge throughout the NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series testing session and fans should enter through Gate 5A, located next to the main ticket office.

Testing runs from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. on both Monday and Tuesday with a one-hour dinner break at 5 p.m. each day.
