From radical T-bucket roadsters to chopped-top customs, the Goodguys Southeastern Nationals Oct. 26-28 will fill the Lowe's Motor Speedway infield with a plethora of automotive masterpieces.

The 14th year of this popular fall tradition will see the California-based Goodguys organization bring more than 3,000 pre-1972 hot rods, street rods, customs, classics, muscle cars and trucks to the 1.5-mile superspeedway.

"The cars at the Goodguys show are works of art," said H.A. "Humpy"

Wheeler, president and general manager of Lowe's Motor Speedway and owner of a 1939 Ford hot rod. "Not only are the cars spectacular, but the other activities that take place during the three days make this one of the most entertaining car shows in the nation."

Also included in the weekend is a manufacturer's midway, swap meet, car corral area with vehicles for sale, hot rod seminars and a model and pedal car show. There will be a play area for children and a street challenge autocross is also scheduled.

On Friday evening, the Richard Petty Driving Experience will offer the opportunity to purchase rides around the 1.5-mile oval at 130-plus miles per hour in the passenger seat of a NASCAR NEXTEL Cup car. Saturday night will see the return of the popular Cruise Under the Lights, where hundreds of hot rods and customs take to the 1.5-mile race track for several laps and spectators are invited to watch the cruise from the speedway's frontstretch grandstand.
