Purchasing a ticket to the Oct. 13 Bank of America 500 NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series race at Lowe's Motor Speedway between now and Tuesday could be a life-changing experience.

Race fans buying tickets between 9 a.m. Friday, Sept. 28, and the close of business on Tuesday, Oct. 2, will receive a North Carolina Education Lottery Powerball ticket. Powerball is an exciting, multimillion-dollar game with jackpots starting at $15 million and increasing until won. There are nine ways to win with a single Powerball ticket.

Bank of America 500 tickets purchased during this period will have a special redemption code that will allow fans to pick up their North Carolina Education Lottery Powerball ticket at the speedway.

The Powerball ticket will be good for the drawing on Saturday night, Oct. 13. The redemption area will be located in front of Smith Tower and the Avenue of Flags, adjacent to the speedway's main entrance.

Ticket holders must be 18 years of age or older to receive a lottery ticket.

One-hundred percent of the net proceeds of the North Carolina Educational Lottery go to education expenses. The overall odds of winning a prize in the Powerball lottery are 1 in 36.6. Complete rules and lottery information can be obtained by visiting www.nc-educationlottery.org.
