Format:

The VAULT World Finals brings the nation's two premier dirt-track series together to end their seasons and crown their champions. Thursday night's program features hot laps, qualifying and "VAULT Dash for Cash" races for both series. The Friday and Saturday night cards include full racing programs for both series highlighted by twin $10,000-to-win main events.

Expected Competitors:

The sprint car entry list features Advanced Auto Parts World of Outlaws point leader Donny Schatz, title contender Jason Meyers and 20-time series champion Steve Kinser. Other open-wheel stars expected to challenge for the feature victories include Danny Lasoski, Daryn Pittman, Jac Haudenschild and Central Pennsylvania standout Fred Rahmer. World of Outlaws late model points leader Darrell Lanigan and series regulars Steve Francis, Chub Frank, Shane Clanton, Josh Richards, Tim McCreadie and Rick Eckert are among the more than 50 late model drivers expected to compete.

Title Chases:

Two-time series champion Donny Schatz leads Jason Meyers by 97 points in the chase for the Advanced Auto Parts World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series title.

While Darrell Lanigan will lock in his first World of Outlaws Late Model Series championship on Wednesday in the Armour Foods Vienna Sausage Showdown, just 26 points separate Steve Francis, Shane Clanton and Josh Richards in the battle for second place.

Track History:

The Dirt Track @ Charlotte Motor Speedway is a state-of-the-art, stadium-style motorsports facility with a seating capacity of over 14,000. Opened in May of 2000, the track plays host each season to the nation's top touring dirt-track series. The Dirt Track @ Charlotte Motor Speedway is located 12 miles north of downtown Charlotte, directly across Highway 29 from Charlotte Motor Speedway.
