DIRT modified superstar Brett Hearn is among four drivers who will be looking to become the first repeat winner of the Eckerd 100 when the Advance Auto Parts Modified Super DIRT Series returns to The Dirt Track @ Lowe¿s Motor Speedway Saturday night, April 5.

Hearn, Steve Paine, Doug Hoffman and second-generation ace Tim McCreadie have shared the winner¿s podium in the twin 50-lap format of the two previous Eckerd 100s. The four are expected to be among more than 60 big-block modified drivers on hand for the third annual event.

Hearn is the winningest driver in Super DIRT Series history with 76 victories. Hoffman has 26 series wins while Paine is a 24-time winner. Add McCreadie¿s 11 triumphs and the quartet has combined to win nearly 31 percent of the 448 Advance Auto Parts Modified Super DIRT Series features run since the touring series began in 1981.

The Turning Stone Casino 358-Modified Super DIRT Series joins the Eckerd 100 card for the first time. The small-block modifieds will open their season with the Charlotte Small-Block Shootout, highlighted by a 50-lap feature on Friday night, April 4. DIRT¿s Pro Stocks are also on the card and a practice session is set for Thursday night, April 3.

The Eckerd 100 and Charlotte Small-Block Shootout will be held in conjunction with the April 3-6 Food Lion AutoFair at Lowe¿s Motor Speedway. The Food Lion AutoFair, the nation¿s largest show of its kind, includes a car show featuring some 40 clubs, thousands of parts and memorabilia vendors, an auction and unusual automotive attractions.
