Even those who study numerology would have trouble arguing with Lowe¿s Motor Speedway President H.A. ¿Humpy¿ Wheeler¿s latest promotion, a numerical salute to Dale Earnhardt Jr.¿s success last weekend.

Earnhardt scored a clean sweep, driving his No. 8 Chevrolets to victory in both the NASCAR Busch Series and Winston Cup Series races at Talladega Superspeedway.

So on the eighth day of April, Wheeler announced he will reduce ticket prices to the May 24 CARQUEST Auto Parts 300 by $8 for any seat in row eight around the 1.5-mile superspeedway. The promotion will run for only eight days. Frontstretch tickets in row eight, regularly priced at $29, will be $21.

¿He¿s our hometown hero,¿ Wheeler said in reference to Earnhardt Jr. ¿He grew up in the shadow of the speedway and his father had incredible success here, so we thought we would have a little fun and celebrate his great on-track performance last weekend. Plus, nothing strikes the passion of race fans like an Earnhardt winning a NASCAR race!

Wheeler noted this is a one-time only promotion.

¿I don¿t feel the same ticket-discount karma for the No. 99 (Michael Waltrip in Busch and Jeff Burton in Winston Cup),¿ Wheeler joked.

Good seats are available, in various price ranges, to all May races at Lowe¿s Motor Speedway. Tickets for The Winston start at $21, while unreserved seats for the Coca-Cola 600 are priced as low as $25. Tickets for the CARQUEST Auto Parts 300 start at $17.
