Led by 17-time series champion Steve Kinser, the 800-horsepower sprint cars of the O¿Reilly World of Outlaws return to The Dirt Track @ Lowe¿s Motor Speedway Friday and Saturday nights, May 23-24, for the fourth annual Charlotte Outlaw Showdown.

Tickets are now on sale for the two-day spectacular and race fans can save considerably by purchasing general admission tickets in advance as those seats will be $5 more the day of the event.

Greg Hodnett, a regular on the tough Central Pennsylvania sprint car circuit, shocked the World of Outlaws drivers and teams by sweeping both nights of the Charlotte Outlaw Showdown last year.

Hodnett is expected to be on hand to defend his title, but he will face stiff competition from such sprint car stars as Kinser, Danny Lasoski, Craig Dollansky, Mark Kinser, Jac Haudenschild, Donny Schatz, Daryn Pittman and Joey Saldana.

The Charlotte Outlaw Showdown, run in conjunction with the Coca-Cola 600 NASCAR Winston Cup event at Lowe¿s Motor Speedway, includes two complete nights of sprint car racing, concluding with a $20,000-to-win, 30-lap feature on Saturday night, May 24. 600 Racing Thunder Roadsters are also on the schedule both nights.

Adult tickets for the Friday night preliminary program start at just $15 in advance with Saturday night tickets available in advance for $20.

Continuing a tradition of value-priced family entertainment, all children¿s tickets for the Charlotte Outlaw Showdown are available for just $10. Children 12 and under will be admitted to either the reserved or unreserved sections of the frontstretch grandstand for both the preliminary and final nights of the sprint car racing doubleheader for the same low price.

Tickets for the Charlotte Outlaw Showdown can be purchased by calling 1-800-455-FANS or online at www.charlottemotorspeedway.com.
