Jimmie Johnson¿s ¿hammer-down¿ style left the veterans searching for answers as the NASCAR Winston Cup rookie set a track record in winning the pole during last year¿s CTC Pole Night at Lowe¿s Motor Speedway.

In recognition of Johnson¿s record run, the California native and his No. 48 Lowe¿s Home Improvement Chevrolet are featured on a limited-edition collectible ticket for this year¿s CTC Pole Night on Thursday, May 22.

¿Jimmie Johnson¿s style is definitely ¿hammer down¿ and that fits perfectly with his Lowe¿s sponsorship,¿ said H.A. ¿Humpy¿ Wheeler, president and general manager of Lowe¿s Motor Speedway. ¿Lowe¿s Motor Speedway is a tough old race track and it is quite an accomplishment for a rookie to claim the pole for the Coca-Cola 600. This collectible CTC Pole Night ticket is a fitting tribute to what Johnson and his team accomplished.¿

Production of the collectible ticket, the 22nd in a series of Pole Night ducats, was limited to just 8,000. The ticket, printed in vibrant four-color on quality stock, sells for $15 in advance and will be $20 the day of the event.

Time trial runs during CTC Pole Night on Thursday, May 22, will determine the 43-car starting field for the May 25 Coca-Cola 600 NASCAR Winston Cup race. After qualifying, the ARCA RE/MAX Series, featuring such rising stars as Chase Montgomery and Shelby Howard along with such as veterans Frank Kimmel and Tim Steele, will battle in the ADG 100 presented by EasyCare Vehicle Service Contracts. The ticket is also good for admission to qualifying for the CARQUEST Auto Parts 300 NASCAR Busch Series race on Friday afternoon, May 23.

The limited-edition CTC Pole Night ticket, along with tickets for all May events at Lowe¿s Motor Speedway, can be obtained by calling 1-800-455-FANS or ordered online at www.charlottemotorspeedway.com.
