LMS Backs Ryan Zeck's ASA Effort at Jennerstown
¿Pennsylvania is a very important market for our NASCAR events and sponsoring Ryan in this race gives us the opportunity to remind Keystone State fans and a national television audience that both the ¿Little Trees¿ 300 Busch race and the UAW-GM Quality Winston Cup event are moving to night this October,¿ said H.A. ¿Humpy¿ Wheeler, president and general manager of Lowe¿s Motor Speedway.
Zeck, who resides in nearby Harrisburg, N.C., is a veteran of Lowe¿s Motor Speedway¿s Summer Shootout Series and is currently locked in a torrid three-way battle for the series¿ Thunder Roadster championship.
The first Alan Kulwicki Scholarship recipient in 1994, Zeck earned a mechanical engineering degree from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. His father, Rudy, heads the track¿s Research and Development department and the Zeck Motorsports ASA operation is based on speedway property in the building that once housed Darrell Waltrip¿s NASCAR Busch Series team.
The Pennsylvania 250, which will be televised live by SPEED Channel, will be Zeck¿s fifth career ASA appearance. He has three top-10 finishes in just four starts, including an eighth-place showing earlier this season at Missouri¿s I-70 Speedway.
The team¿s No. 95 Pontiac Grand Prix will carry the UAW-GM Quality 500 logo on its hood with the track¿s toll-free ticket number, 1-800-455-FANS, on the rear quarter panels during the Pennsylvania 250.
Several ticket options are available for the four-nights of racing at Lowe¿s Motor Speedway Oct. 8-11, and information can be obtained online at www.charlottemotorspeedway.com or by calling 1-800-455-FANS.
